Alchemilla mollis or Ladys Mantle is a popular low growing perennial for cottage garden border but this variety ‘Thriller’ takes the species up a notch. It still has the cupped green leaves that gather raindrops and frothy lime green flowers but it’s more upright with larger foliage. Ladys Mantle has a clump forming spreading habit so it will provide ground cover or border edging and the honey scented flowers will attract pollinating insects making it ideal for a wildlife garden too. Height and spread: 50cm (20″).

Alchemilla will thrive in any reliably moist, rich fertile soil in sun or semi shade.
Feed and water Alchemilla regularly until well established. Lady’s Mantle seeds freely after flowering. If seedlings are not required simply deadhead blooms as they fade. Lift and divide overcrowded clumps of Alchemilla in spring or autumn to maintain their vigour.
