Cosmos atrosanguineus ‘Spellbound’ shares the deliciously seductive chocolatey scent of its Chocolate Cosmos relatives, but its daisy-like flower is a strikingly rich red, and much brighter than the flowers of other varieties. It thrives in a sunny spot in the border in moist, well-drained soil and is best grown among other perennials which will give support to its stems. The Chocolate Plant is a half hardy perennial, so in the UK it is best either grown as an annual, or in a container which can be moved to a frost-free location through the winter. Height and Spread: 60cm (24″).
